October 2009

We checked out the new guts of the gambler dlg (we replaced servos and the receiver) – all systems are a go. Yucky day to fly however…

Tonight we are replacing the servos in the gambler. Did you know that hot glue is hot?

The first Micro Scale fly-in of the 2009-2010 season was last Thursday.  Highlights of this event were:

Brent's Haircut

Brent was sporting a modern clean look

Hospice Donation

Brent Good from York County Flyers presents Hospice of York a check for over $1,000

Holland was seen flying something small and electric

Daniel and the Blade MSR

Daniel had to wipe the drool off of Jason from the Hobby Stop's Blade MSR

See these and many other pictures over at my Picasa Web Album.

Question for you guys is – what night of the week works best for you for the Micro Fly-In? We asked those that came tonight which night they preferred – surprisingly those that showed up on Thursday night picked Thursday (image that).  After careful consideration and to cover all bases, we thought that maybe we could be a tad bit more scientific about how we poll you, the pilots of York County Flyers.

So cast your vote and watch the process.  Multiple nights might work fine for you and if so then select multiple nights.

The Charlotte Aeromodelers held their grand opening this weekend.  Daniel and I got there real late – but here’s some pictures form the event – here’ s a brief video of the Charlotte Aeromodelers Field Mascot too – enjoy!

Here are some shots from the York County Flyers club meeting.  This one was a little unusual for the year because the day started out dreary and overcast.  We brought out the micro flyers and had fun with a Sukhoi and a couple Ember2’s.

Enjoy the rest of them here!
